What is Pro-life Philippines?

PRO-LIFE PHILIPPINES FOUNDATION, INC is a non-profit organization of citizens who are concerned about issues pertaining to the inherent value and dignity of human life.

It is a nationwide organization and functions as a national educational body coordinating pro-life groups, providing instructions and documentations of life issues while seeking to raise the consciousness of Filipinos concerning respect and responsibility for human life. It also functions as a political and legislative lobby group that advance the principles and policies consistent with the pro-life and pro-family cause.

Our Vision

We envision Pro-Life Philippines as the lead oganization in the Philippines dedicated to promoting respect and care for human life from conception to natural death; by promoting a culture of life and love in accordance with the Catholic Church teachings.

Our Mission

We seek to help build nation that respects, defends and cares for human life including the environment by working closely with the Catholic Church.

Goals

* To advocate only the laws, policies, and programs which uphold and advance the rights to life of every human being;
* To educate the Filipino on life values and morals;
* To function as a resource center that provide and disseminate information on life issues;
* To design and implement education programs and train trainers on life values and issues to educate the various sectors of society;
* To help meet the spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical needs of clients with pregnancy and family-related problems.

Brief History

Founded in 1975 by Sr. Mary Pilar L. Verzosa, RGS, Pro-Life Philippines started as an educational component of her work in the Good Shepherd Maternity Home. Since1983, the group has been registered as a non-government organization by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
